According to researchers, the lack of emotional bond between Barni and mothers—the target audience—was the main barrier to brand growth. In honour of the 55th anniversary of the first man in space, Barni the Bear assembled a Star Crew of five children who launched a real rocket into space from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
